BUAP welcomes new students and international exchange cohort

The Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) has commenced its academic activities for the Fall 2026 term, welcoming both new local students and an international cohort.

University Rector Lilia Cedillo Ramírez led welcome activities for incoming students, including a parade through Ciudad Universitaria. The event featured various academic units and departments providing information on available services such as scholarships, sports programs, cultural workshops, libraries, and publications.

Additionally, the university is hosting 268 international mobility students from Latin America, Europe, and Asia for in-person studies. This group includes 81 students from countries such as Germany, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, as well as 59 students from Latin American nations including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Nine students are also participating via virtual modality from Colombia, Chile, and Mexico. The international cohort is further supplemented by students from Japan and China, alongside 119 students from various Mexican universities.
