Buc-ee’s expands presence and releases new collectible

The convenience store chain Buc-ee’s has released a new 1:64-scale miniature model of its travel centers. The collectible, which features a signature yellow-and-red exterior and a glowing rooftop logo, is priced at $99 in stores, though third-party resellers have listed it for as high as $195.

Separately, the company continues its geographic expansion. While co-founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin III previously expressed a preference for operating in conservative, business-friendly states, the chain has grown beyond its Texas roots. Recent expansions include new locations in Arkansas, Arizona, and Ohio.
