Buc-ee’s to break ground on Lafayette, Louisiana location

Buc-ee’s has announced it will break ground on a new 74,000-square-foot travel center in Lafayette, Louisiana, on November 9. The ceremony is expected to include speeches from Lafayette Mayor-President Monique Boulet and Buc-ee’s CEO Arch “Beaver” Aplin III.

The Lafayette location, situated near Louisiana Avenue on I-10, is slated to open in 2028 and is expected to feature approximately 120 fueling positions. The project is anticipated to create around 200 jobs in the area.

This development is part of a broader expansion for the Texas-based retailer, which is also planning a location in Ruston, Louisiana, expected to open in 2027. Buc-ee’s currently operates in 14 states and has ongoing development projects in several others, including Idaho, Utah, North Carolina, Ohio, and Georgia.
