Buca Halk Parkı opens in İzmir

The İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has officially opened the Buca Halk Parkı in the Kozağaç neighborhood of Buca. The project transformed a 22,600-square-meter area that had been lying idle for years after previously serving as a nursery.

The new public space features a 650-meter walking path, tennis courts, a sports station with free-to-use equipment, children's playgrounds, a cafeteria, and a neighborhood garden. Construction on a padel court is scheduled to begin next week.

During the opening ceremony, Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay noted his personal connection to the Buca district and emphasized that the park was designed specifically for families, women, children, and youth. The park will be open to the public daily from 06:00 to 00:00.
