Bucaramanga shooting targets man under house arrest

A man known as ‘Chupetín’ was wounded in an assassination attempt in Bucaramanga, Colombia. The attack occurred on Wednesday, August 19, near the La Isla sector on Diagonal 15, close to the Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro church.

Gunmen opened fire on a white vehicle, striking it at least ten times. The incident caused panic among pedestrians, parishioners, and local merchants. Although the victim initially provided a false identity, police verified that the 32-year-old man is currently under house arrest. Authorities are investigating the motives behind the attack and searching for those responsible.
