Buccheri to host Sapori Ibleidi culinary event

The Sapori Ibleidi project will conclude its fourth edition in Buccheri, Sicily, on October 24 and 25. The event, titled “I Tesori di Buccheri – Best Culinary Destination,” is promoted by the Unione dei Comuni Ibleide and funded by the Sicilian Region.

The weekend program focuses on the local territory's gastronomic and natural excellence, featuring mushrooms, truffles, and extra virgin olive oil from the Tonda Iblea cultivar. Activities include a trekking excursion through the Bosco di Santa Maria to visit historical sites like the Neviera della Scalitta, as well as a conference regarding the preservation of forest heritage and biodiversity.

This final stage follows previous stops in Chiaramonte Gulfi, Monterosso Almo, and Giarratana, aiming to promote the cultural and culinary traditions of the Iblei Mountains.
