Buc‑ee’s Begins Construction and Hiring for First Louisiana Store in Ruston

Construction of Buc‑ee’s first Louisiana location is underway on an 84‑acre site at the Tarbutton Road exit of Interstate 20 in Ruston. The retailer has erected structural walls, is pouring concrete, and expects the 70,000‑74,000 sq ft facility—featuring 100‑120 fuel pumps and about 700 parking spaces—to open in early to mid‑2027.

The company is now accepting applications for entry‑level positions, offering wages from $27 to $37 an hour with full benefits. The store is projected to create 200‑250 permanent jobs, including cashiers, stockers, cleaners and food‑service staff, with hiring slated to begin shortly after the new year.
