Buc‑ee’s expands with new sites amid World Cup fan frenzy
Buc‑ee’s, billed as the world’s largest convenience store, has seen a surge in interest from international visitors during the World Cup, with fans sharing videos of its massive aisles and signature foods. The chain opened a new 74,000‑square‑foot location in Goodyear, Arizona, featuring 120 gas pumps, and announced a rollout of additional stores across Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Wisconsin and other states through 2028 and 2029.
The popularity of Buc‑ee’s extends to its menu, where items such as the banana‑pudding dessert – a vanilla pudding with wafers, bananas and whipped cream sold for $3.99 (small) or $4.99 (large) – have amassed a dedicated online following. The chain’s brisket, beaver nuggets and clean facilities continue to attract both domestic travelers and foreign tourists alike.
