Bucharest and Ilfov host European Mobility Week events

As part of European Mobility Week, various transport organizations in Romania are hosting events on September 19 and 20, 2026, focused on the theme ‘Mobility for Everyone’.

The Intercommunity Development Association for Public Transport Bucharest-Ilfov (TPBI) and STB SA are organizing activities including special lines with historical vehicles, bicycle rides, and guided tours of transport facilities such as the Giurgiului Depot and Metrorex Străulești. Events will also take place at King Mihai I Park and Gara de Nord.

Additionally, the National Railway Company (CFR), in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, is hosting railway-themed activities. Public access will be provided to exhibitions at Gara de Nord and Gara de Vest, including displays of the Presidential Train and modern rolling stock. The program features free travel on special trains and visits to the Romanian Railway Museum and the Royal Salon.
