Bucharest announces board member selections for municipal companies

Bucharest Mayor Ciprian Ciucu has announced the selection process for new members of the boards of directors for five municipal companies. The companies involved are Compania Energetica Servicii, Compania Municipală Parking, Trustul de Clădiri Metropolitane, Service Ciclop S.A., and Compania Municipală Eco Igienizare.

Ciucu stated his intention to professionalize and depoliticize these municipal entities, aiming to make Bucharest a model for the rest of the country through a transparent and legal selection process. The selected members will serve four-year mandates.

The selection process consists of two main stages: an initial administrative compliance check to create a long list, followed by a detailed evaluation involving scoring based on specific criteria, comparative analysis against candidate profiles, shortlisting, and final interviews. The deadline for submitting applications is November 16.
