Bucharest City Hall seeks experts for theatre manager selection committees

The Bucharest City Hall has opened a selection process for specialists who will serve on committees to appoint managers of four cultural institutions: Teatrul de Animație Țăndărică, Teatrul Ion Creangă, Opera Comică pentru Copii and Teatrul Excelsior. Applications are accepted until 19 August and must include a Europass‑style CV and documents proving relevant education and professional experience. The list of chosen specialists will be published on 24 August, after which the mayor will appoint the committees by order.

Mayor Ciprian Ciucu said the aim is a transparent, participatory procedure following the suspension of a similar stage in March. A working group has prepared objective sheets for the four theatres, which will be released for public debate. The city plans similar contests for all 15 theatres under its authority, with additional venues slated for later in the year.
