Bucharest high schools to partner with STB for technical training

Two high schools in Bucharest's Sector 3 are set to establish partnership protocols with the Bucharest Transport Company (STB) to prepare students for technical roles. The proposed agreements, which are subject to a vote by the Sector 3 Local Council, aim to provide practical training for future employees.

Under the first proposal, 28 ninth-grade students from the Mihai Bravu Technical College specializing in electricity will undergo training to become construction electricians. The program includes a 120-hour internship at STB workshops, featuring 90 hours of direct practical training. Participating students will receive a monthly scholarship of 300 lei, daily meal allowances of 40 lei, personal protective equipment, and civil liability insurance. Students with over 80% attendance may also receive a 600 lei bonus at the end of the school year.

The Theodor Pallady Technological High School will also continue its practical training program. This involves 19 tenth-grade students specializing as auto electricians, who will complete approximately 270 hours of practical training in STB workshops alongside 270 hours of theoretical instruction.
