Bucharest parent protests new school late-pickup fee

A parent in Bucharest has expressed outrage over a new rule implemented at her daughter's school. Starting next week, parents who arrive late to pick up their children after classes will be charged a fee of 50 lei.

This fee is equivalent to the cost of a full day of after-school care, even if the child is not enrolled in the program. The decision was reportedly made at the school level, and teachers informed parents that there would be no exceptions regardless of the reason for the delay. The parent criticized the policy as excessive, noting that occasional delays of a few minutes should not result in being charged for a full after-school session.
