Bucharest rental market surges ahead of university year

The rental market in Romania is entering its busiest period as students search for housing ahead of the new university year. This surge in demand, particularly in September, often leads to speculative pricing by some landlords.

Bucharest remains the most expensive city for renters. Average costs include 400 euro per month for a studio and 600 euro for a two-room apartment. Three-room apartments average 890 euro per month. In the Primăverii area, the most expensive district, average rents can reach 3,000 euro per month.

More affordable options are available in the Militari neighborhood, where apartments average 400 euro per month, and in Sector 4, specifically the Giurgiului area, with averages around 430 euro per month.
