Bucharest rental prices rise by 10% amid seasonal demand
Rental prices in Bucharest have increased by an average of 10% compared to last year, according to Horia Ion, President of the Association of Real Estate Brokers in Romania. Current rental rates vary significantly by property type and location. Studios in peripheral areas can be found for 250–300 euros, while the average price for a studio is between 400 and 500 euros. In premium locations, studio prices can exceed 600 euros.
Two-room apartments average between 500 and 600 euros per month, though luxury options can exceed 800 euros. Three-room apartments have an average price of 700–800 euros, with high-end units exceeding 1,000 euros.
Demand is expected to rise further as autumn approaches, driven primarily by the start of the 2025-2026 academic year. This seasonal surge typically leads to rapid turnover for studios and two-room apartments in central and semi-central areas, particularly near major universities and student-heavy neighborhoods like Politehnica and Universitate.
