Bucharest’s Video‑Chat Industry Generates Up to €300 Million Annually

The video‑chat sector, a legally registered and taxed industry based primarily in Bucharest, produces between €100 million and €300 million in revenue each year. The market’s leading firms operate from the Unirii district and have expanded to three continents, with additional offices in Pitești, Cluj‑Napoca, Los Angeles and Bogotá. In 2025, the top three companies reported combined revenues exceeding €25 million, €12 million and €10 million respectively.

Employment in the sector is sizable: hundreds of young women work as models, earning from €1 000–€2 500 per month for part‑time work up to €8 000–€15 000 for top‑earning performers, well above the national average salary. The industry offers training, guaranteed monthly income and contract support, positioning it as a competitive alternative to other high‑skill jobs in the capital.
