Bucheon and Incheon launch public awareness programs
Bucheon City has announced a series of ‘well-ending awareness education’ programs running from October 14 to December 11. In collaboration with the Bucheon Hope Foundation and local senior welfare centers, the initiative aims to help citizens aged 60 and older reflect on their lives and prepare for a dignified conclusion. The eight-week course includes activities such as writing ‘ending notes,’ reviewing life through graphs and literature, understanding advance directives for life-sustaining treatment, and discussing inheritance.
Separately, Incheon City is conducting a facility tour program for its resource circulation centers through December. The program, which will be held 10 times, allows residents and students to observe waste incineration and recycling processes at facilities in Songdo and Cheongna. By comparing these sites with advanced facilities in neighboring municipalities, the city aims to improve public understanding of waste management and resource recycling policies.
