Bucheon City Council proposes policy cooperation with Okayama City
The Bucheon City Council's Finance and Culture Committee has proposed three major policy cooperation projects to the Okayama City Council in Japan to deepen the relationship between the two cities.
The proposed initiatives focus on elderly care, economic exchange, and cultural sharing. In the care sector, the committee suggested a mutual donation and utilization program for elderly-friendly devices, combining Okayama's experience in advanced care technology with Bucheon's community-based integrated care policies. This aims to improve service quality and technological competitiveness.
For economic cooperation, the ‘Bucheon-Okayama Business Bridge’ project seeks to connect Okayama's procurement needs with Bucheon's technical capabilities, facilitating market entry for Bucheon companies in consumer goods and industrial parts. Additionally, a ‘Sister City Exchange Meal Day’ was proposed to promote cultural understanding through special menus in local government cafeterias.
