Bucheon convenience store owner stabbed in attempted murder attack

A man in his 30s has been arrested on charges of attempted murder following a knife attack at a convenience store in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province.

On the evening of October 7, the suspect allegedly stabbed a female owner in her 60s and threatened a staff member with a weapon. The victim sustained injuries to her shoulder and is receiving medical treatment, though her injuries are not reported to be life-threatening.

The suspect was subdued at the scene by a staff member and a customer before police arrived. The Ojeong Police Station confirmed the arrest on October 10, noting that the suspect may have held a grudge against the owner. Investigations into the specific motive are ongoing.
