Budapest Airport expands winter flight capacity and routes

Budapest Airport has implemented its winter schedule, featuring a 10% increase in available seats compared to the previous year. This growth is primarily driven by increased flight frequencies on existing routes, particularly within Scandinavia and Poland.

New destinations and expanded services include:

• Wizz Air is launching a new route to Marsa Alam, Egypt, and increasing weekly flights to Oslo. • easyJet is introducing direct connections to Belfast, Bristol, Liverpool, and London Southend. • Scandinavian connectivity is rising, with SAS increasing daily flights between Budapest and Copenhagen during November and December. • Capacity to Poland has grown by 50%, while seats to the Baltic region and Spain have increased by 7.4% and 12%, respectively.

The expanded network now allows travelers to fly to more than 185 destinations from the capital.
