Budapest and Szeged announce public transport service changes

Public transportation services in Budapest and Szeged will undergo changes due to maintenance and reconstruction works.

In Budapest, the Budapesti Közlekedési Központ (BKK) announced that replacement buses will operate this weekend between Széll Kálmán tér and Nyugati pályaudvar. Due to maintenance, tram lines 4 and 6 will run on a shortened route between Újbuda-központ and Jászai Mari tér via Móricz Zsigmond körtér.

In Szeged, Szegedi Közlekedési Kft. will conduct tram track reconstruction on the 3F line on Fonógyári út from September 1 until October 16. The project will proceed in three stages. During the second stage, from September 7 to 16, part of Bajai út will be completely closed to road traffic near the Szeged–Békéscsaba railway crossing. Replacement buses (3FV) will operate during various phases of the work, and single-trip tickets for lines 3 and 3F will remain valid for transfers.
