Budapest apartment price growth slows significantly
The growth rate of apartment prices in Budapest has slowed significantly. According to an analysis by ingatlan.com, the annual price increase in August was 6.7 percent, which is less than a third of the 21 percent increase recorded in August of the previous year.
On a monthly basis, Budapest saw a slight price decrease of 0.1 percent compared to July, while national housing prices rose by 0.6 percent. Real estate expert László Balogh describes the current market state as a 'sieving stagnation,' where prices fluctuate slightly month-to-month but remain relatively stable overall.
This deceleration may benefit buyers by reducing the pressure to make rushed decisions, allowing more time for market comparison and potentially improving their negotiating positions.
