Budapest hospitality venues receive international recognition

The TasteAtlas gastronomy portal has updated its ranking of the 100 best soups in Europe. The list, based on over 16,000 verified user reviews, features six Hungarian dishes. The top spot was awarded to the Finnish lohikeitto, a creamy salmon soup, followed by the Finnish akalakeitto. The third position went to the Portuguese asopa da pedras.

In separate hospitality news, the Lazy Lion cocktail bar in Budapest has won the ‘Best European Restaurant/Bar’ title at the 2026 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. Located in the historic Adria Palace and designed by Astet Studio, the venue was recognized for its interior design, which uses animal motifs, layered textures, and organic forms to create a contrast with the building’s classical architecture.
