Budapest hosts Athletics World Tour finale featuring Armand Duplantis

The Athletics World Tour concluded in Budapest at the Zsivótzky Gyula National Athletics Center with a high-profile finale. The event featured numerous Olympic, World, and European champions competing before capacity crowds over three days.

Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis headlined the closing ceremonies. Following his victory in the pole vault competition on Saturday, Duplantis performed a live concert on Sunday, debuting his new song ‘Gold’, which he wrote specifically for the event and filmed in Budapest.

Hungarian sprinter Boglárka Takács competed in the 200m heats on the final day. Despite a strong start, she finished ninth with a time of 23.24 seconds, citing mental and physical exhaustion after a long season. Additionally, the Hungarian 4x400m mixed relay team, including Patrik Enyingi, Lili Brucker, Attila Molnár, and Sophia Emmanuel, competed against the world's top eight quartets, moving from ninth to eighth place during the race.
