Budapest is hosting two major professional sporting events in late August 2026.
The 2026 Budapest Open, a Copper-level PSA Squash Tour event, features 24 players. The top seed and title favorite is World No. 18 Eain Yow Ng, who is using the tournament as preparation for the upcoming Asian Games. Other notable competitors include India’s Veer Chotrani, ranked World No. 38, and Spain’s Bernat Jaume.
Simultaneously, the MVM Dome will host the Hungarian Darts Trophy 2026 from August 28 to 30. This PDC European Tour event features 48 players competing for a £230,000 prize fund, with the winner receiving £35,000. The field includes top-ranked players such as Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, and defending champion Niko Springer.
