Budapest hosts sustainable fashion events and graduate showcases
Budapest is hosting significant fashion industry events focused on sustainability and emerging talent. The METU Graduate Fashion Show 2026 is scheduled for October 28 at the Apollo Gallery, featuring nearly 100 unique collections from Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) fashion and textile design students. The event’s theme, “the synergy of collaboration,” highlights cooperation between students, educators, and various professional fields, with works inspired by cultural heritage, sustainability, and the intersection of fashion and technology.
Additionally, the tenth Global Sustainable Fashion Week (GSFW) in Budapest featured Adam X Atelier as a prominent transatlantic guest. The Toronto-based couture house presented its “Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose” collection, emphasizing the connection between luxury and craftsmanship. The designer, Adam X, showcased how sustainable practices and artisanal skills can coexist within high fashion, marking a creative link between Canada and Hungary.
