Budapest mayor Gergely Karácsony criticised the government's draft on asset‑declaration rules, saying the standards for MPs are looser than for mayors and local councillors. In a Facebook post he called for mandatory, stricter disclosures for all municipalities and for extending the retention period of declarations.

MKKP co‑leader Gergely Kovács announced he will not seek the party's co‑presidency again, citing the demanding workload of his mayoral role and past financial strains on the party. He also voiced criticism of the political climate and party financing, emphasizing the need for a humorous yet meaningful opposition.
