Budapest offers tropical wildlife experiences

Budapest offers several locations for experiencing tropical environments and exotic wildlife.

Papilonia Lepkevilág provides an immersive experience with hundreds of butterflies from rainforests in Mexico, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

The Tropicarium, located in the Campona shopping center, features an underwater tunnel with sharks and rays, alongside reptiles, monkeys, and turtles within a tropical rainforest setting.

Additionally, the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden, which is celebrating its 160th anniversary, remains a major destination for viewing diverse species, including elephants.
