Budapest rolls out free family‑focused weekend events June 12‑14

Budapest will host a series of free public programmes from June 12 to 14, featuring a Book Week celebration, the 35th Children’s Book Day and Archaeology Day organised by the National Museum. Activities include open‑day tours of the historic Hungária tram depot marking the 20th anniversary of the Combino tram, night‑time sport sessions across the city, interactive puppet shows, and family picnics. Venues span Vörösmarty Square, Margitsziget, Balatonfüred and other locations, with many events requiring only registration and offering free entry.
