Budapest to host Red Bull Soapbox Race in Tabán

The Red Bull Soapbox Race is returning to Budapest's Tabán on September 20, 2024. The event features participants racing handmade, gravity-powered vehicles down a slope.

Competitors are judged not only on speed but also on the creativity of their propulsion technology, their costumes, and short performances presented before the start. The 2024 jury includes Péter Besenyei, ByeAlex, Marci Mehringer, Eszter Ráskó, Feri Rákóczi, and Balázs Sebestyén. Past participants have utilized creative designs such as igloos and hospital beds to navigate the course.
