Budapest to Split Night Train Service Launches July 3
Hungarian rail operator MÁV announced that the Adria InterCity night train will resume summer service between Budapest and Split, with the first departure on July 3 and a return on July 4. The train runs weekly (2‑4 trips) until October 2, offering sleeping and couchette cars, a restaurant carriage, and complimentary hand luggage. Seats are limited and tickets are on sale now. Transport Minister David Vitézy said the service is “one of the best and most environmentally friendly ways to reach the Croatian coast for those who do not want to travel by car or plane.” The operator also plans discounted autumn trips for school groups and expects the international line to Istria to operate during the season.
