Budapest Transport Museum Launches Large‑Scale Historical Exhibition
The future home of Budapest’s Transport Museum opened a major exhibition showcasing the evolution of road, rail and water transport safety. Displayed on 6,000 m² are more than 250 artifacts, including restored historic trams, a restored Warszawa rail‑car, and a range of vintage automobiles. Interactive stations let visitors test traffic‑rules knowledge, drive a simulator, and explore “black‑box” installations that illustrate night‑time signalling.
The exhibition runs from 20 June to 31 October 2026 at the former Northern Vehicle Repair Hall on Kőbányai út and features educational programmes for schoolchildren, audio‑visual installations and hands‑on learning experiences aimed at promoting safer, smarter mobility.
