Budapest veterinary clinics treat dogs with emergency surgery and digestive disorders

A 16‑year‑old girl from Budapest posted an online plea for her dog Picúr, who had a tick embedded in his leg. Supervet Állatkórház and Mentőszolgálat performed a free surgical removal of the tick, funded by donations collected during a previous free‑care day that had provided over 4 million forints of veterinary services. The operation was successful and the dog recovered.

In a separate case, a young rescued dog suffering from chronic vomiting, foamy stomach content, occasional blood‑tainted diarrhea and stress‑related flare‑ups was examined at a veterinary practice. Extensive diagnostics—including abdominal ultrasound, laboratory tests and fecal analysis—were negative for infections. The veterinarian prescribed a specialized diet, stress‑relief medications and an herbal gastro‑protective supplement, advising strict adherence to the regimen for two weeks before follow‑up evaluation.
