Samsung plans Galaxy Watch 9 series launch and Galaxy Fit 4 band release in 2026

Samsung is preparing to unveil a three‑model Galaxy Watch 9 lineup this summer. Code names identified in a Wear OS update – “fresh9”, “wise9” and “projectv2” – point to a standard Galaxy Watch 9, a Galaxy Watch 9 Classic that will bring back the rotating bezel, and a rugged Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 aimed at outdoor users. The devices are expected to be announced at a July 22 event in London alongside the new Fold 8 and Flip 8 phones, and will feature Google’s “raise‑to‑talk” voice command originally seen on Pixel watches. Multiple size options are planned to cater to diverse wrist sizes.

Separately, Samsung’s budget fitness band line is set to expand with the Galaxy Fit 4. Industry sources indicate development is well underway and the product will be launched in September 2026, a few months after the July Unpacked event. The Fit 4 will succeed the 2024 Galaxy Fit 3, likely retain Samsung’s proprietary RTOS (rather than Wear OS), and may add built‑in GPS for more accurate outdoor activity tracking.
