Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouse, which share a parent brand, have been serving buffet-style meals since the 1960s. Their menu typically includes meats, sides, salads, and desserts, with specific locations like the one in Hillsboro, Ohio, offering daily all-you-can-eat service and weekday senior specials.

Other surviving chains include Golden Corral, known for its baked potato bar, and Sizzler, which maintains its signature salad bar and various hot bars. Western Sizzlin’ also remains in operation with approximately 30 locations, continuing the legacy of the steakhouse concept that was highly popular in previous decades.
