Budiman Sudjatmiko discusses poverty empowerment with PWNU West Java

Budiman Sudjatmiko, Head of the Poverty Alleviation Acceleration Agency (BP Taskin), met with the West Java regional leadership of Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) in Bandung to discuss poverty reduction strategies.

Sudjatmiko emphasized that addressing poverty requires more than just social assistance (bansos). He stated that under President Prabowo Subianto's administration, the focus is on systemic and structural changes aimed at fostering community independence and productivity. The goal is to provide access, guidance, and market opportunities to help citizens move beyond basic aid toward self-sufficiency.

KH Juhadi Muhamad, Chairman of PWNU West Java, welcomed the discussion, noting the need for synergy between government programs and religious organizations to reach underserved areas in the province.
