Budimex completes Sędziszów Małopolski flood reservoir ahead of schedule

Budimex has completed a flood protection reservoir in Sędziszów Małopolski, finishing the project eight months ahead of the scheduled March 2027 deadline. The facility, developed in cooperation with Wody Polskie, is designed to mitigate the effects of rising water levels in the Budzisz river.

The reservoir features a 58-hectare basin with a maximum capacity of 2.29 million cubic meters. Construction included a 468-meter earthen dam, discharge structures, a slope overflow, and a 4.2-hectare permanent wet reservoir. The total contract value, including expanded work scopes such as soil reinforcement and anti-filtration measures, amounted to 31.98 million PLN net.
