Budimex nears 290 million PLN tram line contract in Katowice

Budimex, Poland’s largest construction company, has been identified as the top bidder for a major infrastructure project in Katowice. The contract involves the expansion of the road system and the construction of a tram line running from the Brynów loop to the planned Kostuchna loop, including the construction of the Kostuchna transfer hub.

The value of the offer is approximately 290 million PLN net. While the company’s bid was rated highest by the investor, the official selection process has not yet been finalized.

In the first half of this year, the Budimex Group reported sales revenues exceeding 4.2 billion PLN, representing a 7.17 percent increase compared to the same period last year, though net profit decreased to nearly 252 million PLN.
