Budimex to build new archive for Adam Mickiewicz University

Budimex has signed an agreement with Adam Mickiewicz University (UAM) in Poznań to design and construct a new modern archive building. The contract, valued at over 26.4 million PLN net, follows a “design and build” model.

The two-story facility will have a total area of 2,863 m² and a volume of 13,227 m³. The building is designed to be divided into three functional zones: a public area containing a hall and lecture rooms, a staff zone with offices and a reprographic workshop, and a restricted zone for archival storage and specialized laboratories.

Key technical features include advanced ventilation, fire protection, access control, and specialized climate solutions to ensure the long-term preservation of collections. The project also includes an internal recreational patio and the integration of teletechnical installations with the existing UAM Faculty of History building. Construction is expected to take 18 months.
