Budka Suflera sends birthday wishes to former vocalist Jacek Kawalec

Members of the band Budka Suflera have issued a public message to former vocalist Jacek Kawalec on his 65th birthday, following his recent departure from the group. The band's message on social media encouraged focusing on positive memories, stating, “Let our memory suggest moments that were good and joyful... Let us push the others aside.”

Kawalec's exit in August followed a conflict with band leader Tomasz Zeliszewski regarding a parody of disco polo star Zenon Martyniuk. Zeliszewski had publicly apologized for the parody, a move Kawalec contested, arguing that his performance was a commentary on a musical genre rather than a direct attack on Martyniuk. Kawalec, who joined the band in 2022, decided to leave the group after completing his scheduled obligations.

Krzysztof Wałecki has officially taken over the role of vocalist for Budka Suflera.
