Budokan 2026: Equipo Infernus wins eSports title in Guayaquil

The Budokan 2026 convention, held at the Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil, recently concluded its latest edition focusing on anime, pop culture, and video games. During the event, Equipo Infernus secured the eSports championship in League of Legends after defeating the local team Skullcrackers in the grand final.

This victory marks a milestone for Equipo Infernus, as they have previously dominated the Celebrities category in Quito but had struggled to win the main title in Guayaquil. The championship followed a national competitive circuit involving up to 32 teams.

Looking ahead, the Budokan organizers have announced that the 2027 edition will celebrate the event's 15th anniversary on October 16 and 17 in Guayaquil. Mexican YouTuber MissaSinfonia has been confirmed as the first guest for the anniversary celebration.
