Budućnost interested in signing Nikola Mirotic

Budućnost is reportedly interested in signing veteran forward Nikola Mirotic, who is currently a free agent following his departure from Monaco. The potential move represents a significant development for the ABA Liga.

Reports regarding the deal vary in certainty. The outlet ‘BPG info’ claims that a verbal agreement has already been reached between the player and the Podgorica-based club. However, Sport Klub maintains a more cautious stance, stating that while interest from Budućnost is real and a proposal is being prepared, no definitive agreement has been signed yet.

A move to Budućnost would likely involve a lower salary than Mirotic previously earned at clubs like Monaco, Armani Milano, or Barcelona. However, the transfer holds sentimental value as Mirotic was born in Podgorica. The 35-year-old, whose career includes stints in the NBA and with Real Madrid, has previously not ruled out the possibility of retirement.
