Budva Municipality implements new security measures for schools

Following recent incidents of vandalism and property damage at the Second Primary School in Budva, the Municipality of Budva has convened an emergency meeting to address student safety and school security. The meeting included school directors, the Police Administration, Municipal Police, Municipal Inspection, and the Service for Protection and Rescue.

To combat these issues, the municipality is establishing a Working Group to coordinate inter-institutional activities and information exchange. The Municipality of Budva has committed to funding technical security upgrades, including new video surveillance, alarm systems, improved lighting, and fencing.

Additionally, the municipality will finance extra security guards to provide coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 24-hour monitoring during weekends. Local police and municipal police will also increase patrols and surveillance in school zones to ensure a preventative presence.
