Budvanska barka wins award at TEF Fest Krk 2026

The short film ‘Budvanska barka’ has been awarded at the fourth edition of TEF Fest Krk 2026, an international festival for tourist and ethnographic films held in Krk, Croatia. The film was recognized for its contribution to tourist film production and the promotion of cultural and natural values.

Directed by Dejan Senić and based on a text by Momčilo Zeković, the film is described as a poetic Mediterranean melodrama exploring themes of identity, memory, and the connection between humans and their homeland. The production is a collaboration between Akademija znanja Budva, Mega Promet Budva, Džep sa tajnama d.o.o., and SEN Production.

The festival featured 104 films from 63 tourist communities, museums, and ethnological associations across Croatia and the surrounding region. The official award ceremony is scheduled for September 25, 2026, at the Kina Krk cinema.
