Buenaventura Mining Reports 12% Gold Production Rise and Strong Q2 Earnings
Buenaventura Mining (NYSE: BVN) announced that consolidated gold production increased 12% year‑over‑year to 30,500 ounces in the second quarter, while silver output rose 2% to 3.6 million ounces and copper production grew 2% to 13,500 tons. Revenue jumped 43% to $529 million, EBITDA more than doubled to $277 million (up 113%) and net income surged 165% to $261 million. The company ended the quarter with $759 million in cash and a net cash position of about $67 million. Scotiabank analysts lowered their FY2026 earnings‑per‑share forecast for Buenaventura Mining to $4.41 from $4.45 and maintained a $40 price target with a “Sector Perform” rating. The company reported Q2 earnings of $1.32 per share, beating the consensus estimate of $1.09. Other analysts have adjusted ratings and price targets, reflecting the strong quarterly performance and favorable metal prices.
