Spain reports multiple fatal traffic accidents in Cuenca and Albacete

Several fatal traffic accidents have been reported in various regions of Spain.

In Cuenca, a man died at the Buendía Reservoir after his vehicle rolled downhill and struck him while he was fishing. Authorities believe the handbrake was not properly engaged.

In Hellín, Albacete, a 68-year-old woman died after being struck by a car while using a pedestrian crossing. A 22-year-old male driver has been detained and faces provisional charges of negligent homicide; drug tests reportedly showed a positive result for cannabis.

Additionally, a 28-year-old man died following a vehicle accident on the CM-200 road in Horcajo de Santiago. Emergency services, including the Civil Guard and Tarancón firefighters, responded to the scene, but the driver could not be resuscitated.
