Argentina achieves major sporting milestones in international competitions

Various sporting events and achievements have been reported across Argentina. In international competition, the Argentine blind football team, known as Las Murciélagas, won the first edition of the Copa América by defeating Brazil 1-0 in San Pablo, with a decisive goal by Gracia Sosa. Additionally, the Argentine women's U20 football team secured a historic 8-0 victory against Benin in the World Cup held in Poland.

In regional and national athletics, the Interregional stage of the 35th Juegos Bonaerenses has commenced in San Fernando. In hockey, the municipal stadium ‘Reconquista de Jujuy’ was inaugurated in San Salvador de Jujuy, and two former world champions, Silvina D’Elía and Rosario Luchetti, conducted a clinic in Tunuyán.
