Buenos Aires commuters can receive up to full fare refunds on buses and subways in July

During July, several promotions let regular users of Buenos Aires' bus and subway system recover part or all of the ticket price. Banco Provincia’s Cuenta DNI app provides a 100 % refund when passengers pay by NFC, subject to monthly caps. Santander offers refunds of up to 100 % through QR Transporte with a limit of ARS 8,000 per user each month, while a “Sorpresa Santander” tier refunds 100 % up to ARS 16,000. Other digital wallets and banks – Naranja X (50 % refund via QR or NFC, monthly limit ARS 5,000), Banco Macro (20 % refund, ARS 10,000 cap, plus free Ecobici passes), and MODO (50 % refund on inter‑provincial coach trips, ARS 8,000 cap) – also run July‑long schemes. Refunds are credited to the user’s bank or wallet account after the ride, with processing times ranging from a few hours to 30 days. The offers are limited to trips paid through the respective apps and are subject to specific usage conditions and monthly ceilings.
