Buenos Aires establishes new clinics for chronic kidney disease

The Buenos Aires Ministry of Health has signed an agreement with CUCAIBA and INCUCAI to establish eight Advanced Chronic Kidney Disease Clinics (CERCA). These clinics aim to improve patient monitoring and facilitate better preparation for dialysis.

Distributed across provincial health facilities, the CERCA units will provide comprehensive care through multidisciplinary teams including nephrologists, nurses, nutritionists, psychologists, and social workers. The initiative seeks to promote timely access to treatment alternatives such as peritoneal dialysis and preventive kidney transplants. Participating hospitals include Hospital San Martín in La Plata, Hospital Presidente Perón in Avellaneda, and Hospital Eva Perón in San Martín.
