Buenos Aires health system launches major hospital and clinic expansion

The Hospital Universitario CEMIC – Saavedra branch in Buenos Aires presented a project to the city government to enlarge its facilities. The plan includes underground health spaces, a new 20‑meter‑tall parking structure, additional upper‑level medical areas and complementary services such as a pharmacy, cafeteria and adult‑education institute. The city's urban planning authority (CAPUA) issued a favorable opinion, allowing the modifications and regularisation of existing works.

Separately, the Buenos Aires City Government awarded the comprehensive remodel of the Centro de Salud y Acción Comunitaria (CeSAC) No. 38 in Almagro to the contractor Miavasa S.A. for about 2.0 billion Argentine pesos. The renovation will upgrade the primary‑care centre's infrastructure, equipment and interior to improve medical, vaccination and preventive services for local residents. Both projects are part of a broader municipal push to strengthen health‑care facilities in the capital.
